Shangri-La Frontier Game Trailer Released by Netmarble With First Boss Battle Reveal

Netmarble unveils official trailer for Shangri-La Frontier anime game featuring first boss battle.

Netmarble has gone and dropped a fresh trailer for Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, which is a mobile game based on the anime of the same name. Folks got to see some teaser back in 2023, but last July 6, a full trailer showed concrete gameplay and character movements.

We saw Sunraku and Emul reappear, with Yuma Uchida and Rina Hidaka continuing to voice them. Footage of the game received battles, town walking around, powers flying through the air, and even a frightening fight against Lycagon the Nightslayer, which is the first major story boss.

They posted that the game allows you to battle with two characters, switching in the process. Controls are simple and can be performed using one hand, they added. It has a 3D appearance of the HanFro world. Netmarble and their team, Netmarble Nexus both developing it. Also, they created a new X (previously known as Twitter) account to upload updates.

New Trailer Drops, But Game Timing Remains in Limbo

 

 

Although the trailer has already been released, the game still doesn't have an official launch date. The Netmarble timeline paper indicates that this title may not be released in 2025 either.

Currently, they are occupied with other games as well. One of is Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, which should be released on phones, consoles, and PC sometime in late 2025. Then there is Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive and also Solo Leveling: KARMA, both developed by Netmarble Neo. That second one just got revealed at the Anime Expo.

The entire Shangri-La Frontier thing began with Katarina, who originally wrote it on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. The manga initially began in 2020 with Ryosuke Fuji doing artwork, and Kodansha released it. Currently, the manga has sold over 13 million copies.

The anime adaptation, produced by Studio C2C, has already completed two seasons with 50 episodes. Season 3 has also been announced quickly after the end of season 2. Crunchyroll has the whole series available both with English subtitles and dub.
