'With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess' Light Anime Set for July Release
The light anime adaptation of With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess debuts in July 2025. Based on the popular webtoon, the series explores betrayal, magic, and revenge in a dark fantasy world.

Animation ID has announced that the light anime version of With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess is set to release in July. Based on SORAJIMA and Aminohada's vertical-scrolling webtoon, the show becomes another title in the burgeoning trend of "light anime" — a style characterized by minimal animation to make production more efficient.
The series has an impressive voice cast. Asami Seto performs the lead role of Rua. Sōma Saitō voices Sven, while Momo Asakura portrays Arianne, Kazuki Ura as Garrett, and Kazuyuki Okitsu voices Cezee. Chisaki is overseeing the direction of the anime at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio. Sound direction is being handled by Yūichi Imaizumi, sound effects by Hiroki Nozaki and Airi Kobayashi. Onoken is scoring the music, while Kazuya Takahashi oversees production.
Betrayal, Power, and Transformation at the Center of the Story
The story revolves around Rua, a saintess hopeful with the gift of healing—but at great cost. She can heal only by absorbing other people's injuries. This caused her to become the object of derision and she was referred to as the "Fallen Saintess." Even with all the bullying, she drew confidence from her best friend Arianne.
Rua's existence is altered when a beast attack puts Commander Garrett in a coma. She saves him using her abilities, almost dying in the process. When she awakens, she discovers Arianne has stolen all the glory for the deed. Betrayed, Rua is left shattered—until a cryptic proposal from the second prince leads her down a darker road. The novel traces her transformation as she enters a new role: a villainess.
The webtoon started in Japan on comico in August 2022 and was introduced in English through Pocket Comics in October of the same year.
Animation ID has also worked on some other light anime titles, such as Lockdown Zone: Level X, Maarui Kanojo to Zannen na Kareshi, and Moriarty's Perfect Crime. These titles all feature a fast-turnaround style, facilitated by streamlined animation techniques.
