AMD Radeon RX 6800 and 6800XT availability and price in India, details

As per the official announcement, the AMD-made Radeon RX 6800 GPU (reference card) is priced at Rs 45,999. It is worth noting that this price does not include the GST taxes and the actual price will be even higher. Inspecting the taxes, 18 percent GST on the GPU will push the pricing around Rs 55,000. The company stated that the reference cards are available for sale now on e-commerce and retail stores. AMD website notes that the cards will be available on Amazon India, MD Computers, Prime ABGB, and Ant PC (pre-built). It is worth noting that the company did not provide the official price for the RX 6800 XT in its announcement. However, considering the pricing of the RX 6800, the 6800 XT will likely be priced around Rs 62,000.

Beyond this, AMD noted that AIB (Add-in board) cards will hit the shelves next week likely helping the stock situation. However, we are not sure if they will be enough to meet the demand in the absence of Nvidia RTX 3000 cards. The company will release its top-of-the-line RX 6900 XT next month so there is still time left.

For some context, the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs are based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture. It is the same architecture that powers the latest-generation Sony PS5 series, and the Xbox Series S, and Series X consoles. The company claims that the GPU lineup offers “up to 30 percent” improvement in power per cycle per compute unit and more.
