New Gulag in Warzone 2.0

Gulag is one of the most interesting aspects of Warzone and it naturally returns for the sequel but with an added twist. The new Gulag will feature 2v2 combat where random players will pair up and try to win their back to their squad in the battle royale. There’s a second chance in store if the players of opposing teams decide to pair up and kill the strong AI jailer.

New gameplay features

Warzone 2 has added new gameplay mechanics including aquatic combat and a vehicle fuel system. Vehicles no longer have unlimited fuel and hence, they’ll need to be refilled. Players can do so by picking up gas cans on the map or at gas stations. There’s also going to be a Heavy Chopper introduced which has the ability to hover in the air without a pilot. A new electric GMC Hummer EV pickup truck will also be added to Warzone 2.

Players can only use sidearms and melee weapons when submerged. They can also throw knives and use other throwing equipment. Players can now use the waterways to travel via boats or swimming. Warzone 2 will also introduce third-person playlists in Season 1.

Warzone 2 DMZ mode

Activision Blizzard showed off their DMZ mode as they invited several streamers to test out the mode on Wednesday. DMZ is essentially an extraction mode where squads have to take on AI as well as other players while they try and complete objectives to earn rewards. Players have to pick up loot, get a hold of Strongholds and complete “faction-based missions” and survive to get exfiltrated.

They will be available as part of the Modern Warfare FC event. This event will feature a limited-time CODBall game mode and a “a community Support Your Team Pick’em minigame”. Messi, Neymar and Pogba will be available for use in Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty Mobile.
