CD Projekt Red announces several Witcher games, Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and a brand new IP

CD Projekt says they’ll look to deliver the Witcher trilogy within six years from the release of the first instalment.

CD Projekt, the company behind Witcher and Cyberpunk, has just announced plans to develop at least six more games. The company has announced 4 Witcher games for the future as well as a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. There will also be a brand new IP from the studio. Codenames, as well as some details about these brand new games, were revealed during a sponsor’s call. When it comes to game announcements, it surely looks like a good time to be a Witcher or Cyberpunk 2077 fan. Here’s what the studio has in store for you in the coming years.

Before CD Projekt begins its development of these six new games, they’re currently occupied with completing the remaster of their iconic Witcher 3 game for next-gen consoles. That remaster is destined to release this year. Once that’s released, they’ll be looking to roll out Cyberpunk 2077’s first DLC named Phantom Liberty which will release in 2023. After that, CD Projekt will be focusing solely on Witcher, at least for three games in a row. It’s been reported that two of those Witcher games are already in pre-production.
