King, the video game developer based out of Malta has just announced some new information around its next smartphone game. According to the announcement, King is all set to launch Crash Bandicoot: On the Run on March 25, 2021. The company also shared the launch trailer of the game along with some new details like sign-up rewards, and more. The game developer claims that this new title will “transform the runner genre” with gameplay from the Crash franchise. Besides, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run also celebrates the 25 year anniversary of the franchise. As part of the celebration, the company has added “classic” characters in the upcoming game like bosses, enemies, and more. King has also clarified that the game will launch on iOS and Android platforms. Interested players can pre-register for the game on both platforms to get a launch-day bonus. This launch-day bonus includes “an exclusive mobile Blue Hyena Skin”.

We also got to know some plot details of the title including a brief overview of the story. As per the plot, Dr. Neo Cortex comes back “to take control of the multiverse”. The story claims that “only Crash and his sister Coco can save the day”. Crash Bandicoot: On the Run also features recognizable regions from older games like Temple Ruins, Turtle Woods, and more.

Talking about the trailer, we got a 23-second clip that showcases glimpses of the gameplay of the title. Taking a closer look, we observed somewhat familiar elements from the game that we going from Subway Surfers and even Temple Run.
