Day 6 of the ESports Premier League 2021 Level 1 Group D started with the round 2 matches of Group D Level 1 was played today. The top three teams at the end of the day will move onto the next stage i.e. Round 3 qualifiers. A total of 22 teams will be advancing onto Level 2 from Group C of the tournament scheduled to start on 1st August.
ESPL 2021 is a franchise-based league announced by India Today Gaming. It is a multi-city tournament that will run over a period of three months and will comprise more than 700 online matches. The ESPL will stream more than 300 hours of gaming content during the 3-month time period. The tournament features a massive prize pool of Rs 25,00,000 distributed among the top 8 teams in the grand finals with the top team taking home a whopping Rs 12,00,000 cheque and the Championship trophy.
Besides the ESPL 2021 prize pool and champions trophy, ESPL will also offer all 8 teams comprehensive media coverage across its various media platforms and channels including digital, print, TV, and more. ESPL aims to discover and nurture new gaming talent across India.
ESPL has also partnered with Hong Kong-based smartphone giant Infinix Mobile as the title sponsor for its inaugural edition. The league will be streamed on multiple platforms including OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar as well as the official YouTube and Facebook channels of India Today and AajTak along with their websites.
Phase 1 Group D Day 6 Round 2 matches
A total of 12 matches will be played on the sixth day of the Level 1 Group D round 2 stage. The top teams from the previous stage will compete in round 2 of the ESPL 2021 Level 1 Group D stage. Each team will play a total of three matches in round 2 of the league. The matches will be played in Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari maps.
Group 1 - 4:00 PM (DR2M17)
Group 2 - 5:30 PM (DR2M18)
Group 3 - 7:00 PM (DR2M19)
Group 4 - 8:30 PM (DR2M20)
