Smartphone game developer and publisher Garena has just announced its latest eSports tournament for the gamers in the Indian market. The company is calling this tournament Free Fire India Champion and has shared all the vital details one may need. These details include the prize pool, registration dates, format, and more about the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring tournament. Garena noted that both Indian, as well as Nepalese teams, can register and take part in the tournament. Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring tournament details out

Garena noted that it will open registrations for the eSports tournament from January 25. Interested teams need to register for the event by January 29, 2021, to take part in the event. The tournament will have a total prize pool of Rs 75 lakh. Top performing teams from the tournament will get to complete in the next Garena international tournament. These teams will get a direct entry in the qualifier of the Free Fire Pro League Summer. As part of the qualification, these teams will represent India and Nepal on the international stage.

Looking at the format, Garena has divided the tournament into five stages. The game developer also outlined that teams will play all the matches in the tournament in “Battle Royale Squad” mode. Teams need to rise through the ranks in the first two stages to qualify for the tournament. All teams need to take part in the Free Fire Cup mode where 48 teams will proceed to the “league Qualifiers". The league qualifiers will take place on February 4 and 5 which will bring down the total number of teams to 18. These teams will move on to the remaining three stages of the Free Fire India Championship 2021.

The remaining stages include the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring League stage, Play-ins, and Grand finals. The League stage is scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 7, Play-ins on March 14, and the Grand Finals on March 21. The League stage will divide the 18 teams into three groups of 6 teams each. Each group will compete against each other in a round-robin format and two teams from all three groups will move to the Grand Finals. The remaining 12 teams will play in the Play-Ins for the 6 remaining Grand Final spots. Garena will Livestream the final three stages of the tournament on the Free Fire Esports India YouTube channel and Facebook.
