According to the information, the game publisher has managed to sell more than 140 million copies of GTA 5. The company is planning to release the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and Series S later in the year. It is worth noting that 2020 was the best year for GTA V since its launch year. Take-Two noted that it sold “more copies of Grand Theft Auto V” in 2020 than any other year since 2013.

It is worth noting that this success was not limited to GTA 5 as Take-Two observed increased revenue through GTA Online as well as Red Dead Online. GTA Online is the multiplayer version of the game that gets regular content updates. Similar to the GTA V sale numbers, GTA Online saw more players in every month of 2020 than any other since launch.
