Six months have passed since the ban on PUBG Mobile, one of the most popular Battle Royale smartphone games out there. However, this has not stopped the constant rumors and spam from some websites around “new updates” around the re-release. We even saw an attempt at the relaunch of the title under a new name of “PUBG Mobile India”. However, even after the official teaser and hype from several major PUBG Mobile players, the momentum did not amount to anything. Krafton, the parent company behind the developer, PUBG Studio also announced a massive investment in India to no avail.

Now, a new report has just surfaced stated that PUBG Mobile India has received approval from the Indian Government. However, the company has not shared any dates around the re-launch of the game. Luv Sharma AKA GodNixon Gaming, a popular PUBG Mobile content creator shared this information in a recently posted video on his YouTube channel. PUBG Mobile India gets Government approval; details

A report from TalkEsports was among the first to outline this new development. According to this report, Luv “GodNixon” Sharma shared a video with the title, “Pubg Mobile India 🇮🇳 Update! Government Approved”. In the 2 minutes 40-second long video, Luv refers to several “sources” behind the information including a tweet from Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare. Besides, he also pointed at a report of a job vacancy at the PUBG India subsidiary that we have already covered. Sharma went on to state, “PUBG Mobile has received a green signal by the Indian government” as per the report.

Talking about the sources, Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare tweeted that the “next two months” will be “very good for PUBG lovers”. The tweet also stated that TSM lovers can expect “interesting news” “soon”. In addition, he also cautioned fans against an inquiry on the release date of the game. For some context, Andhare is a professional PUBG Mobile player and he represents Team SoloMid in the country.

The information comes just weeks after a Krafton representative noted that the company "will work hard" on relaunching the game. Krafton also shared the announcement about an Rs. 164 crore investment in Nodwin Gaming. In the meantime, we have not seen anything official from Krafton or PUBG Studio around the relaunch of the title in India. It is likely that the government has not budged from its stance considering previous reports. One of these reports outlined how the government called PUBG Mobile an example of, violent, and addictive smartphone games.
