1. Call of Duty brings back Resurgence Mode to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 with Ashika Island map

Activision Blizzard has revealed details of their newest map to be added to Call of Duty. Ashika Island will be added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 as a part of Season 2. Ashika Island has been shown off in their latest trailer. The new map will mark the return of the Resurgence Mode to Call of Duty’s Warzone.

2, Insomniac’s Wolverine game will reportedly be M-rated

Insomniac Games is currently developing a Wolverine game and a new report says that the developers are targeting a mature rating. There’s also claims that the game could release by next year.

3. Max Verstappen signs deal with EA Sports for 2023 season

Electronic Arts has announced that Max Verstappen has signed a deal with them for the 2023 season. Max Verstappen, the reigning Formula 1 World Champion will be collaborating with EA Sports for various content throughout the 2023 season. 
The deal with Max Verstappen also includes a sponsorship. This will see the back-to-back F1 World Champion carry the EA Sports branding on the chin of his race helmet for the 2023 season. 

4. Back 4 Blood won't get new content anymore- announces devs Turtle Rock Studios

Back 4 Blood developers Turtle Rock Studios announced that they’ll be shutting down content creation for the game. Along with this, they’ve also announced that they are now working on “another game”. Therefore, due to the lack of a team large enough to be working on both Back 4 Blood content and the new game, they choose to focus on the latter. They say, “it’s time for us to put our heads down, get back in the lab, and get to work on the next big thing.” 

5. Crossfire X shutting down this May- announces devs Smilegate and Remedy Entertainment

Within less than a year of the game Crossfire X going live, developers Remedy Entertainment and Smilegate announced that they are shutting down service for the game. Crossfire X will not receive support after May 18, 2023 when the servers shut down.As a result, no new content will be added to the game including maps, modes and more.  Preparing for the shutdown, all sales of the game have already been halted.

6. The Last of Us Part 1 PC release delayed, announces developers Naughty Dog

The Last of Us Part 1 PC remake was originally scheduled to launch this year on March 3. The developers, Naughty Dog, have now informed in their latest update from February 3, that the game has been  delayed to March 28.  

7. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok wins the first-ever Grammy for video games category

Grammy introduced a video game soundtrack for the first time last year, and the results are out. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok has won the Grammy in the category ‘Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media’. The winning score was made for the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla by Stephanie Economou, also known for her music in The Martian.

8. Knockout City, the dodgeball brawler from Velan Studios and EA is closing down this June

The dodgeball based action game from Velan Studios and Electronic Arts, Knockout City is shutting down. Game Director of Knockout City, Jeremy Russo shared the news on 2nd February, along with information of the final upcoming update. After two years of runtime, having first launched on May 21, 2021, Velan Studios will be sending off Knockout City with a 2 week long farewell. 

9. Apex Legends Season 16 Revelry has been revealed

Apex Legends Season 16 Revelry has been revealed by Respawn Entertainment. This Season will celebrate the four-year anniversary of the battle royale game. They’ve therefore come up with new features, login rewards that will allow players to unlock Crypto and Ash. 150 heirloom shards are also up for grabs in the upcoming Anniversary collection event.

10. The Last of Us Part 3 is "in progress", confirms leaker from Sony

The Last of Us Part III, is reportedly in development. The news comes via The Leak. Their source from Sony has confirmed that The Last of Us Part 3 is known to be “in progress” internally. The game’s reportedly being “categorised as a Playstation 5 release with “Playstation 6 in mind”.
