My Hero Academia Season 8: Final Chapter Gets Trailer and Release Date

My Hero Academia's final season premieres in October 2025, with a new teaser trailer releasing on Hero Day and fresh visuals featuring Armored All Might

My Hero Academia is heading into its last season, and now they said a new teaser trailer is gonna come out on June 16 — which also just so happens to be Hero Day in Japan. That’s kind of a perfect timing, right? This will be Season 8, and yes, it’s the final one. The premiere date already been set for October 2025.

The animation is being handled by Studio BONES FILM, like always, and Naomi Nakayama is back again as the director. She’s worked on the anime before, so fans are kinda glad it's not someone new. And don’t worry, Crunchyroll will stream the season when it drops, so international fans are covered.

New Poster, More Hype

They dropped a new visual not too long ago, showing Armored All Might, and it looked very dramatic. People on internet were buzzing about it for days. The key art is already out now, and the teaser will be released soon, so fans are getting more and more hyped. It's easy to tell that people are ready for what’s coming.

The feeling now is both excited and a little sad. This show has been going for years, and now it’s finally ending. A lot of fans are guessing what part of story this season is gonna show, and how much action and emotion it’s gonna have.

From Pages to Screens

The story was made by Kohei Horikoshi, and the manga first started back in July 2014. It got published in Weekly Shonen Jump, and after nearly 10 years, it ended in August 2024. The final chapter got huge attention, and there was some special artwork and goodbye messages too.

The anime began airing in 2016, and till now, it had seven seasons. Season 7 finished on October 12, 2024, and many fans think it felt like calm before the storm. Like the setup for what’s coming next.

Movies and Spin-Offs Still Going

Besides the anime show, My Hero Academia also got four movies already. The newest one, You’re Next, came out on Blu-ray and DVD in February 2025. That one had an original story from Horikoshi too, which is pretty cool. It started streaming on Netflix and Crunchyroll on April 20, so fans still can go watch it.

If you looking for more from the same universe, there’s also the Vigilantes anime still running. That story is set five years before the main one and has different heroes and events. Some fans think it’s really underrated but fun to watch.

As My Hero Academia moves closer to it’s last episode, fans are truly feeling it. With the teaser dropping on Hero Day, the final season in October, and all these emotional farewells coming up, it’s gonna be a ride. Even though the main story’s ending, movies and spin-offs still keep the world alive. But yeah... get ready, 'cause it’s almost time to say goodbye.
