The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 is airing soon, starting July 9 at 9 PM in Japan. Website and socials just dropped a new trailer and visual also. It looked pretty intense. Crunchyroll also said they will be streaming it, so no need to worry about where to watch.

The story again is going to follow Naofumi. He is still that guy who got dragged to other world by a book, where he’s called a "Shield Hero" or something. Life didn’t go well for him in the start, people turned against him, and he lost his name and all. Then he find that girl Raphtalia, and they team up to fight all those big disaster waves. Let’s see what more troubles coming in Season 4.

Same Music but Different Vibes

This time too, MADKID is doing the opening. The song called “Resolution.” Pretty powerful one from the short bit we heard. As for ending, it’s Chiai Fujikawa again. Her song "Eien ni Ikkai no" is soft and emotional, and fits the mood maybe. The trailer used a short part, and it felt deep kind.

Animation studio Kinema Citrus is still handling the show. Director Hitoshi Haga is back, who also worked on Made in Abyss before. Story parts are managed by Keigo Koyanagi, and the character drawing team is Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu and Masahiro Suwa. The music composer Kevin Penkin is also on board again, and he brought Alfredo Sirica and Natalie Jeffreys along for extra sounds maybe.

This anime came first in 2019, then Season 2 happened in 2022, and the third one came in 2023. It’s based on that light novel by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by Seira Minami. People liked how Naofumi changed from weak to strong after getting betrayed. That story of rising back really hits with some watchers.

He’s not like the usual hero, he can’t even attack directly, just defend with his shield. But he smart and keep growing, making allies, and learning to trust again. That’s kind of the heart of this anime.

So Season 4 is coming real soon. From the trailer and songs and all, seems like they’re keeping the feeling but maybe going to show something new also. If you been watching till now, it’s probably worth continuing. And if you haven’t, maybe now’s a good time to see what all the talk was about.
