Skip and Loafer Reveals New Rainy Season Visual Ahead of Season 2

There’s a new image out for Skip and Loafer, and it’s looking very calm. In the scene, Yuzuki and Makoto is in the classroom, sitting and making teru teru bozu dolls—those small dolls you hang up to stop the rain. The drawing looks soft and quiet, and was made by Manami Umeshita, who also does the character designs in Season 1.

They are putting it now on the official website, so fans can download it as a wallpaper or even make it an icon for social media. There are also some other drawings and character arts on the site, so if you like this style, you can look at more.

New Rainy Season: Season 2 Is Coming, But Still Not Yet

The first season aired from April to June 2023, and people liked it a lot. Then in December, they said Season 2 is happening. The animation is going to be made again by P.A. Works, the same team from Season 1.

Director Kotomi Deai is also coming back, and she’s doing the writing too. Along with her is Yoko Yonaiyama, who was helped in Season 1 and worked on A Sign of Affection. Many other staff from before is returning too.

• Mio Fujishima does sub characters
• Yuko Kobari takes care of the color design
• So Senoo is looking after the background art
• Kazuto Izumida is in the compositing direction

It seems like they keep everything the same, which may be good, so the feeling won’t change much from the first season.

Voices Stay Same, Manga Still Going

Voice actors are not changing. Still, we have:

• Tomoyo Kurosawa as Mitsumi
• Akinori Egoshi as Sosuke
• Others like Yuka Terasaki, Maaya Uchida, and Megumi Han are also back

Manga by Misaki Takamatsu started long ago in 2018. It has eleven books so far, and number twelve is going to be released on August 22, 2025. For the English version, Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing it in North America.

A Simple Story That Feels Close

This show is not loud or action-packed. Skip and Loafer tell about Mitsumi, who moves from a countryside school to a big one in Tokyo. She studies well but doesn't always understand people. So she tries her best, makes some mistakes, but makes friends too. The story is about all kinds of emotions between students, like misunderstanding, growing, and laughing together.

There’s not much flash, but it stays in your heart. With the second season still in the making and these new visuals to enjoy, fans have something soft to hold on to. The rain might fall, but the warmth still stays.
