Tougen Anki 2025 Anime Gets Major Update: New Trailer & Voice Actor Revealed

Fans of Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood got a big surprise this week. There’s a new visual out now, along with a trailer and more casting details. This anime, which is based on a manga, is going to release in 2025 and seems like it is going to stream pretty much everywhere. Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Prime Video all confirmed. Some other services in Latin America, Europe, and Asia are also include.

This anime is not just made from random ideas. It is actually based on an old Japanese folk story called Momotaro. But this one got a darker twist. The manga is from Yura Urushibara and started running back in 2020 in Weekly Shonen Champion. So far, it has sold over 4 million copies in Japan alone, which kind of show people liking it.

Main character is a guy named Shiki Ichinose. He finds out he’s not who he thought he was. It turns out he has demon blood inside him. That puts him straight into conflict with the Momotaro side, who is hunting down Oni bloodlines. The more he learns, the more he has to fight back. Studio HIBARI is animating this one.

Cast, Music and Panel Event Hype

There was an event in Japan to show the first 3 episodes. After that, the voice actors talked a bit. Kazuki Ura (who play Shiki), Hiroshi Kamiya (Naito), and Koutaro Nishiyama (Jin) were present. They said some things about what the story means and how they tried to bring emotion in their roles.

The third trailer show more action scenes, especially the fights with the Momotaro agency. The songs for the anime got reveal too. Opening song is “OVERNIGHT” by THE ORAL CIGARETTES. Ending song is “What is justice?” by BAND-MAID. Honestly, it’s a pretty strong mix.

Where You Can Watch

Another thing announced was a mini anime called Onimomomomo. It’s not serious like the main series. Instead, it had characters doing a funny retelling of the Momotaro story. A special episode for that already dropped on June 21.
